The Warthog Model Workshop

for Teams

The Warthog Model is a set of activities and tools for developing high performing teams.  It can be used to identify team problems.  It can provide action plans to improve team performance.

Our greatest accomplishments in history have resulted from team efforts.  No one is an island.  We all survive from pulling together.  Numerous studies show that only 20% of teams are considered high performing.

In our model, sustained high performance is a combination of Results and Best Practices:

  • Results: finance, quality, quantity, customer loyalty, morale, employee turnover, engagement, etc.
  • Best Practices: People-Centered Leadership, Communicating, Team Problems, Consensus, Paradigm, Affinity, and Teamwork

Looking at these outcomes, the Results of your organization can be viewed as either weak for strong.  Also, your team's competence on Best Practices can be considered as weak or strong.  The sustained performance of your organization is viewed as a combination of Results and Best Practices.
